Privacy Policy
What Sorted collects, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We store account information supplied by your sign-in provider, including your name, email address, profile image, account identifier, preferences, subscription status, and the sharing username you choose. We also store workspace names, tab titles, URLs, ordering, and sharing information that you choose to save. The browser extension reads selected tabs to perform the save and reopen actions you request. For a workspace you explicitly open, the extension temporarily keeps its latest tab titles and URLs in local extension storage so it can offer a reviewed sync after that workspace window closes. This pending session is removed when you sync, decline, delete the workspace, or uninstall the extension, and it is not uploaded unless you confirm the sync.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, synchronize workspaces, provide sharing, operate subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information or use saved tabs for advertising.
Sharing and public links
A workspace share link can be opened by anyone who possesses its hard-to-guess URL until the owner revokes it. It may contain the workspace name, tab titles, URLs, and the owner's chosen sharing username. It does not publish the owner's email address. Do not share workspaces containing secrets or sensitive URLs. Saving a link to “Shared with me” creates a private reference in the recipient's account.
Service providers
Sorted relies on Firebase for authentication and database services, Dodo Payments for checkout and subscriptions, Vercel for hosting, and browser extension stores for distribution. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Retention and security
Active account data is retained while your account is open. Trashed workspaces are scheduled for deletion after the recovery period associated with your plan: five days on Free and 30 days on paid plans. Backups and operational logs may persist for a limited period. We use access controls and encrypted connections, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may export or delete account data from Settings, revoke public links, remove received shares, or request assistance. Some billing records may be retained where required for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
